LITERACY WEEK – APRIL 16 – 19, 2018

posted in: Home Page News | 0

Each day this week we will have a different focus on reading.  Reading is an essential skill for everyone to master.  We hope that showing fun ways to learn and practice this skill at home and school will encourage our students to be better readers.  Author Phillip Roy will be visiting our school April 19th to talk about reading and being a writer.

Please save the date… April 19th from 5:30 – 7:00 pm for our Literacy Night at Grandview.  Students are encouraged to bring their parents to have fun learning about reading and writing.

The Book Fair will also be running April 19th – 25th for you to enhance your home reading library.

As well, we will be having a “Spirit Week”.  Each day from April 16th – 19th, we will be hosting a new and exciting Spirit Day.

Below is a list of our upcoming Spirit Days. Please be sure to take note of these special days on your calendar so each child can join in the fun and show their School Spirit!

  • Tuesday, April 17 – “Read Me” (wear a shirt with words)
